The Genome BC Geneskool website has been temporarily restructured to make free online and remote learning resources more accessible to educators, parents/caregivers and students while in-class instruction is suspended.
In conjunction with these resources, we will be hosting webinars to give educators tips & tricks on how we facilitate the workshops.
The first two workshops that we will walk through are and. These two workshops complement each other and are suited for Grade 10-12 students. During the Alien Babies workshop, students will be introduced to phenotypes/genotypes and Punnett squares. They will then use these skills in the Rare genetic diseases workshop to collaboratively solve case studies and to learn more about heredity. This workshop also gives students the opportunity to link real life examples with what they learn in class.
Join us on Monday, May 25th from 4pm-6pm for our online webinar to guide you through running the workshop content and tips & tricks for running these workshops online.
