Our investments have helped to deliver economic and social benefits to BC, Canada and regions around the world.

Our actions have helped to create jobs in Canada while addressing challenges in key sectors such as health, forestry, fisheries, aquaculture, agrifood, energy, mining and environment.

Indigenous Peoples Engagement Framework

Genome BC is committed to listening to Indigenous leaders and partners — we recognize and respect the unique worldview of Indigenous peoples. We will need to take bold and courageous action and step out of the colonial constructs to create spaces that are inclusive of this work.

Genomics Education
for Healthcare Professionals

Genome BC is committed to catalyze the development of health professional genomics education in BC to address one of the major barriers to clinical implementation of genomics in British Columbia.

Phase I of this initiative produced an Education Asset Map of current BC and Canada based clinical genomics education resources for health professionals to better understand the current landscape. Phase II focused on a deeper understanding of the BC health care environment, resulting in an Implementation Framework with recommendations on key principles, tactics, and exemplar projects.
