Dick Vollet Senior Executive, Retired

Dick Vollet has over three decades of experience in leadership roles across both the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. During his tenure as President and CEO of St. Paul’s Foundation in Vancouver, he spearheaded transformative fundraising initiatives, established strategic partnerships and advanced the foundation’s mission to support. healthcare and community services. Under his guidance, the organization expanded its influence, becoming a vital part of the region’s philanthropic landscape. His proactive leadership style fostered strong relationships among the healthcare sector, local businesses and community organizations.

Before his impactful role at St. Paul’s Foundation, Vollet cultivated a diverse career that blended high-level corporate and not-for-profit experiences. He served as VANOC’s Vice President of Mountain Operations during the 2010 Winter Games, an experience he describes as one of the most intense and rewarding of his career. This role sharpened his communication skills under pressure, allowed him to make critical decisions with integrity, and empowered him to lead with a “no fear” approach. His strategic leadership was further cultivated in retail as VP Operations for London Drugs, which is a part of the HY Louie group of companies, where he championed customer service and growth initiatives, guiding teams toward a shared vision of success.

Vollet’s commitment to service extends beyond his professional roles. He has participated on various boards, including the Downtown Vancouver Association and the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and has provided counsel to Ronald McDonald House. His dedication to community causes is exemplified by his leadership in fundraising events, chairing the Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend for two years and raising over $23 million.

Dick Vollet, a dynamic speaker, has shared stages with prominent figures such as Bill Clinton and Walter Cronkite. His career exemplifies integrity, strategic vision, and a commitment to enhancing the community through philanthropy and leadership. Now retired from St. Paul’s Foundation, he leaves behind a legacy of inspirational leadership and community impact.
