Running regularly helps prevent cardiovascular disease, stroke, mental decline, some cancers, type 2 diabetes in addition to many other health problems. But did you know that running in the STEMCELL Science Fair Fun Run ensures the success of future Science Fairs in BC and allows our youth to gain the skills they need to succeed in a fast-paced, knowledge-based world.
Genome British Columbia is proud to be a silver sponsor of the 20th Annual STEMCELL Science Fair Fun Run which will be held on May 26, 2019at Athletes Village Plaza in Vancouver, BC.
Supporting young scientists across the province, the Fun Run is the largest timed 5K race in BC and one of the largest events in BC’s technology industry. This family-oriented event features Team BC’s award-winning Science Fair projects, giveaways, prizes, games and activities! All participants are also eligible for free entry to TELUS World of Science on Race Day.
All proceeds from the event will go to The Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment to support the promotion and development of Science Fair Programs throughout the province.
