As Genome BC’s Education Engagement Coordinator, Lisa works closely with teachers across BC to expand the reach of the Geneskool program. Lisa is passionate about supporting the education system by ensuring teachers across the province have access to workshops and resources that make teaching genetics engaging, easy, and fun.
Lisa first experienced a Geneskool workshop in Grade 11 as part of her Biology class. That experience ignited her curiosity about genetics and genomics and inspired her to pursue life sciences in her undergraduate studies. Lisa holds a BSc in Biology from the University of British Columbia and is dedicated to helping students develop an interest and excitement for science. Prior to joining Genome BC, Lisa worked in the renewable energy technology sector, supporting engagement and onboarding initiatives.
