In his role as Director, Research and Innovations Operations, Daniel leads the project management and operational support of Genome BC’s Research and Innovation portfolio, which includes projects within the Health and Agrifood & Natural Resources (ANR) units.
Daniel is an experienced research management professional with extensive project and program experience in BC’s academic, public healthcare and not-for-profit sectors. Daniel has led numerous multi-center and international clinical research projects, including clinical drug trials, medical device studies, data registries and biomarker studies. Prior to joining Genome BC, Daniel worked for the University of British Columbia, the Rick Hansen Institute and the Nanomedicine Innovation Network. Working across several different therapeutic areas. He also has extensive experience working alongside research networks, health authorities and industry partners to advance research and implement findings in clinical practice.
Daniel has a BSc in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of British Columbia and is a certified Project Management Professional.
