Dr. Chandana Kondapalli is an experienced life science professional bringing over 15 years of combined experience in scientific research across academia and the biotech industry, complemented by a strong track record in driving business development initiatives and managing strategic partnerships.
Chandana’s background positions her well to contribute to her role in Genome BC, where she manages projects within the Health portfolio and engages in sector development with BC’s rich academic and biotech ecosystem. In her role, she plays a key part in evaluating and managing projects that advance innovative genomics research, with the goal of developing solutions that can be integrated into public health systems or commercialized into products that foster the growth of local biotech companies.
Chandana holds a PhD in life sciences from the University of Dundee and a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Anna University, India. Her PhD research to understand mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration is still one of the most cited articles in the field, with over 1000 citations.
