All instructions to assemble and maintain an organism are encoded in DNA and stored in a precise sequence of just 4 chemical building blocks: Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine, and Thymine.
Students learn how proteins are made from information stored in DNA, using a triplet code of “codons”, by making a bracelet in which 1 amino acid “letter” is converted into 3 DNA “letters”.
