Yeast are single-celled organisms that have evolved many times across the fungal kingdom and are a fermentation powerhouse. There is also a lot of yeast in our environments that we still don’t know about.
A new project led by Professor Vivien Measday, UBC Faculty of Land and Food Systems, and John Husnik, Renaissance Bioscience, is studying hundreds of yeast strains across British Columbia to uncover traits with real value for research and industry. Find out more in this video.
