We are excited to introduce Dr. Roshini Moodley Naidoo as Genome BC’s new President and CEO.
Roshini is an innovative leader with a forward-thinking approach and a proven global track record of guiding organizations through periods of growth and change. She has spent her career putting evidence to work for people and the communities they call home.

Dr. Roshini Moodley Naidoo
Her experience spans health care, global non-profits, financial services and academia. She has led ambitious change in complex, highly regulated environments. She spent more than a decade leading health risk management as a Senior Executive and General Manager at Discovery Health, part of a diversified financial services company founded in South Africa with operations across global markets. There, she led teams that balanced rapid-cycle innovation with the discipline of delivering long-term transformative goals.
At Oxfam America, she built partnerships with the private sector that aligned the goals of business and non-profits to create shared value for communities. Most recently, as a Professor of Practice at Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions, she worked with Tribal members to bridge the gap between Western and Tribal medicine practices. Her work combined evidence-based care for depression with community values, knowledge and preferences. Roshini previously served as a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School where she explored the impact of AI technologies on value-based payment systems.
Roshini is a physician with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, where she was selected as a Service Leadership Fellow.
She brings visionary strategic leadership and a deep belief in strong teams, agile and creative workplaces and a collaborative, outcomes-driven culture. Roshini builds partnerships and collaborations, and she enjoys bringing people together across sectors around common goals. Those strengths matter here, as Genome BC pursues its mission to catalyze partnerships, drive innovation and economic growth, improve lives and deliver equitable and sustainable solutions for people, society and the planet.
We thank Dr. Tony Brooks for his leadership over the past 13 months as Interim President and CEO of Genome BC. Tony is returning to his role as Chief Financial Officer and Vice-President, Entrepreneurship & Commercialization, where he will lead our financial and commercialization strategy and work closely with Roshini as she settles in.
Please join us in welcoming Roshini to Genome BC.
