Genome BC is delighted to announce the hiring of Wes Peterson as Vice President, Corporate Development. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Wes brings a wealth of experience in finance, research, management and strategic leadership to our organization.
Wes Peterson, Genome BC’s New Vice President, Corporate Development
Wes joins us from the BC Beverage Technology Access Centre, where he served as General Manager for the last five years. Wes helped launch and lead the Centre to support applied research, development and innovation for the Canadian beverage sector. Prior to this, Wes served as an executive in the travel and tourism sector at Expedia Group, holding roles such as Vice President, Commercial. In this capacity, he oversaw airline negotiations and managed various portfolios across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
At Genome BC, Wes will contribute to the management team’s work, delivering cross-functional programs and initiatives. He will also lead the corporate development portfolio, nurturing and expanding strategic partnerships that propel Genome BC’s mission forward.

Wes holds an MBA from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia.
