ABOUT THIS EPISODE

The next couple of Code of Life episodes are very special. Every year Genome BC holds the Don Rix Distinguished Keynote Address featuring some of BC’s most spectacular and world-renowned scientists. The event is named for the late Dr. Donald B. Rix —a BC innovator and philanthropist who ws at the forefront of medicine, science education and the arts. And one of the co-founders of Genome BC.

This year’s event featured three scientists leading the fight against COVID-19 — BC’s Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, along with Dr. Mel Krajden, Medical Director at the BC Centre for Disease Control, and Dr. Carl Hansen, CEO of AbCellera. In this episode you’ll learn about BC’s biggest wins and failures in the fight against COVID-19. It’s an illuminating frank open and honest conversation.
