Dr. Nicolette Honson

Dr. Nicolette Honson brings 10 years of business acumen and drug development knowledge to complement the expertise of the Health team.  In this role, Nicolette works with industry, academia, and other external stakeholders to establish and foster a productive interface.  Her priorities at Genome BC include developing and sustaining a robust pipeline of industry focused funding opportunities and performing diligence to ensure funds are invested towards promising and impactful technologies.

Before joining Genome BC, Nicolette spent 10 years with the Centre for Drug Research and Development, a translational life sciences venture.  As a member of the Project Search and Evaluation team, Nicolette was responsible for the identification, scientific evaluation, and due diligence of commercially tractable life science technologies arising from universities and companies across Canada.

Nicolette performed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University researching the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s Disease, and obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University.
