“Advances in biotechnology—particularly genomics– over the last two decades are challenging conventional thinking around the value of the bioeconomy. In BC, the value of and opportunities in this bioeconomy are delivering new products and services for population health, environmental resilience, and sustainable industries.”

Dr. Lisette Mascarenhas
Sector Director, Agrifood and Natural Resources
  • 604.637.3087

Dr. Lisette Mascarenhas leads Genome BC’s Agrifood and Natural Resources sector team. Supported by six Sector Managers, Lisey oversees the management of Genome BC’s project portfolio, stakeholder engagement, partnerships and proposal development within the agrifood, fisheries and aquaculture, forestry, energy, mining, and environment sectors.
