This project’s goal is to screen 175,000 compounds to identify agents that promote mesenchymal progenitor (MP) quiescence using increased Hic1 expression as a surrogate marker. 60 analogues displayed no or little activation of Hic1 expression relative to their parent compound. Insights with regards to the mechanism of action were revealed and final report has been submitted. A proposal for a third iteration has been developed and will be presented to the IF partners for funding.
