Great white sharks have been swimming in our seas for at least 16 million years, which has allowed plenty of time for their DNA to evolve, including the ability for it to repair itself and be resistant to damage. Researchers believe that we can unlock the secrets of shark DNA, and use them to treat illnesses in humans, as well as help with wound healing and blot clotting.
