Vancouver, BC – Genome BC is pleased to announce the release of our updated and expanded website. The website was updated to: increase awareness of the value genomics brings to BC; increase the opportunity for science teachers and students to acquire value added curriculum support, and help create long term interest in genomics based science; be the main portal of information for BC scientists and researchers in terms of funding opportunities and research programs for genomics; and, foster international collaborations and partnerships.
The new design and user-friendly navigation includes new features such as: pre-qualification buttons on the homepage that allows users to find specific information relevant to areas of interest quickly; direct links to funding competitions and programs; direct links to classroom activities; genomics in action stories that articulate the results and impacts of Genome BC-funded research and easy to use infographics.
The updated website was designed by Chris Fagan, Fusebox Communications (www.fuseboxcomm.com) and built by Damian Lee, Metro Web Systems (www.metrowebsys.com).
