Computing science professors Leonid Chindelevitch and Maxwell Libbrecht have partnered with University of Montreal researcher Jesse Shapiro for a new project to find solutions for people suffering from TB. It uses machine learning to predict whether a patient’s strain of TB is resistant to treatment by specific drugs.
