Imagine an app on your phone that could predict forest fires; or an agricultural system that could consolidate and analyze various sensor data to identify and alert you about livestock at risk. Imagine another app that helps diagnose illnesses in children living in rural communities.
It sounds like science fiction; however, these are just some of the projects that students at the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Applied Science are working on.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) division is calling on companies and Industry leaders to submit proposals for a Capstone Design project for the upcoming school year.
The Capstone Design Project course brings companies and industry partners together with 4th year electrical and computer engineering teams to design a technological solution to a significant challenge. Recent projects tackled challenges around big data, machine learning, and biomedical engineering applications.
UBC’s ECE will commit a significant amount of financial resources to challenges accepted into the Capstone program, lowering your R&D costs and providing access to world-class research facilities and expert technical personnel.
Learn more about the Capstone Design Project Program and submit your proposal on their website.
