Dr. Simon Jones is a research scientist
at the Pacific Biological Station with the
Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
He obtained his PhD from the University
of Guelph in parasitology and zoology and
continued his postdoctoral studies at the
University of Guelph, the Agricultural University
in the Netherlands, and the Aqua Health
lab in Prince Edward Island studying aspects
of bacteriology and immunology.
After
completing his postdoctoral work, Dr. Jones
held faculty positions at the University
of Prince Edward Island in the Atlantic
Veterinary College and later at the University
of Victoria in the Faculty of Biology. Dr.
Jones' primary interest is the study of
salmonid immunology and parasitology.
