This animation helps to visually describe the process of mitosis.  In addition, the written text in the animation helps highlight the important events that occur during mitosis.

Using the animation in the classroom

• To help review the process of mitosis, you can watch the animation as a group and have students ask questions and comment on what they have seen.  This would especially be useful after students have written notes or read about mitosis.
• You could also use the provided web worksheet to help review mitosis by having students answer the questions on their own after you view the animation together.  
• This animation and the accompanying worksheet would be excellent for an independent mitosis review.  You could have students watch the animation on their own and then answer the worksheet questions.  This could be carried out as a class, library, or homework activity.
