What is Geneskool North?
Welcome Educators!
Geneskool North is a partnership between Genome British Columbia's non-profit education program, Geneskool, and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Geneskool North introduces teachers and students to the exciting world of genetics by delivering day-long workshops at UNBC for and/or in-class visits to local elementary and secondary schools. There are NO FEES with these activities.
The Geneskool North programme designs these hands-on genetic activities to match the BC Ministry of Education Prescribed Learning Objectives. We have a number of exciting in-class activities specifically designed for grades 4 to 12. As well, our captivating CSI-style mysteries introduce your grade 9 to 12 students to genetics within a university laboratory setting.
Our in-class visits and day-long workshops are booking fast!
We are dedicated to being a science education program for the north and remember we will travel to your school - making your life easier.
