Geneskool Camp
Each week-long day camp enables participants to explore the exciting world of forensics by investigating a “murder mystery”! The camps are set in a university or college lab - so campers are able to solve the crime by conducting real experiments using state-of-the-art equipment. Campers will also have an opportunity to explore the applications of genetic technologies beyond the lab by considering the science from social and ethical perspectives. Campers can expect a couple of very interesting guest speakers throughout the week as well!
Other benefits to attending a Geneskool Summer Camp include:
- Tour of the hosting college or university campus
- Create friendships with people that have similar interests and aspirations
- Opportunity to find out if you would like to pursue a career in the field of science
- Learn about blood type analysis
- Experience “university life”
- Get an “edge” on university applications
- Become a sleuth and learn how to lift fingerprints & analyze blood splatter
- Personal instructor time (our Camp Director has a Bachelor in Science AND a Bachelor in Education!)
- Have fun!
