Summer Camp 2014
Another Genome BC Geneskool Summer Camp has come to an end! This year campers explored aspects of biotechnology, pathology, forensics, genetics, genomics and microbiology and used their knowledge to investigate a series of fascinating and troubling disease outbreaks! Thank you to our friends at Capilano University for once again working with Genome BC to host this fun and exciting program in their biology lab – such a great experience for high school students to work in a real lab and conduct real experiments! We would also like to thank Drs. Jennifer Gardy and Brian Ellis for taking the time to participate in this camp by visiting the students and sharing their experiences and expertise in the life sciences – our campers always look forward to our fabulous guest speakers!
And lastly a big thank you to our four volunteers: Akram, Amie, Hema, and Minnie, who assisted greatly in delivering this camp!
